Earliest Known Ancestors: married John Pegg, 1761, Stoke Golding. Descent is then via their son Richard (baptised 1761, Stoke Golding, m. Ann Bunney, 1785, Stoke Golding), to Sarah Pegg who married William Farmer in 1817 at Stoke Golding. See Bray Pedigree for more.
General Information The surname Lindzey comes from the 1761 marriage entry in the Stoke Golding transcripts. Eliz. wife of John Pegg was buried at Stoke Golding in 1767 and John went on to marry Jane Linghill in 1741. However I know nothing more about Elizabeth.
Next Steps 1. Somewhat surprisingly, there are no baptisms recorded in Leicestershire on the IGI for an Elizabeth Lindzey (or obvious variants) between 1715 and 1755. At least this suggests that it is not a particularly common name in the County!
