Most of the feral pigeons in the neighbourhood bear an obvious resemblance to the Rock Dove, but some are strikingly different.
My wife and I were strolling along the local beach when we came across the fine pair pictured above left, who were doing exactly the same.
The pair below left presumbably were visiting from a local dovecote - and those below right, photographed by an old watermill, show what can happen when the two get together!
