During the Winter, we often see Mistle thrushes grazing in groups out in the New Forest. However, without a tripod and long lens, these birds have always been just a bit too far away to photograph.

On a walk in the nearby Stour valley though, we came across this bird which seemed so pre-occupied with hanging on to its impressive catch of worms that I was able to get a few distant shots. None of them will enlarge though.
