Sadly, the Song Thrush is an infrequent visitor to the garden, with only a handful of sightings per year. It was many years before I managed to get these two pictures of a bird foraging on the far side of the garden.

Prior to that, the best photo opportunities occured elsewhere in the locality. The bird on the left was photographed at Keyhaven, the one below in the New Forest.

Eventually, an opportunity arose to photograph a Songthrush in the garden at closer quarters, albeit through glass.
