Earliest Known Baxter Ancestor: married Mary Ingram in 1712 at East Carlton, Northants. Mary was baptised in Great Easton, Leics. in 1687, father James Ingram. James Baxter left everything in his will (1721) to his wife Mary. Descent is via their daughter Mary Baxter (baptised 1717 Blatherwycke), who married Clement Scott 1741 Cottingham. General Information
Almost everything I have on the Baxters was provided to me by a fellow researcher who has transcribed the Blatherwycke PRs. Much of this was re-validated on a visit to the Northants Record Office in September 2004, where the Ingram connection was made.
