For most of the year, I find it hard to identify the pipits with any confidence. However, in Autumn we seem to get a significant number of Meadow Pipits passing through on the undercliff and these birds are very clearly marked, making it much easier to distinguish them from the relatively smudgy grey markings of the Rock Pipits.
